then

i found that picture last weekend. i remember exactly the colors of the flowerpattern on the dress our grandmother made for me and my sister D, the blue of the hexagonal table our father made and how often i have been sitting there at my favourite place near the window.

i still have the same hairstyle and am very much looking forward to do the next weeks what i was doing then. making things out of fabric and eating chocolate.

after tomorrow we are going to have a long weekend break at the baltic sea and then i will be finally back to real life.

i can see on your face you're really enjoying the needlework.
it's in your genes.

surprisingly i didn't know the photo and it struck a deeply buried chord of early childhood memories... that table, those dresses, that window and radiator... you do look very happy with your needle, threads, fabric and chocolate. wish you that the next weeks bring lots of similar moments. lv, d

I did not know about the chocolate...and last time choosing a sweet I just remembered what you told abot L. nice to know; first reading your post I thought this might be your grandmother and I wondered how similar you are; how surprised to see you as a teen; how did you manage to keep your hairstyle so long?

thank you ladies for your nice comments!

marie, thank you for the award, will find out more about that soon!

ola, there have been some very different hair styles in between, especially during my punk period that occured just two years later after that picture was taken...funny you thought it was my grandmother!
