thüringen, day 3

unknown artist, lobby, panorama hotel

thüringen, day 2

the view out of my apartment around 8 in the evening

thüringen, day 1

tanzlinde/ a limetree for dancing

my kid ignoring our hectic packing activities in the studio. we are leaving towards southeast for another shooting this weekend.

and somebody tried to cover reparation work in the hallway, wonderful!

pleated skirt

because i am in a good mood for no special reason.

one picture of my collection of beautiful fabrics of garments that i am taking in the period departments of the costume houses if i need some distraction in between my everyday hunt.

another start

i hope she will enjoy the new school year as she did the last two ones and diving this summer.

tomorrow she will be in third grade, so so happy to have her back home.

some pictures from spain as a reminiscence to our beautiful but far too short summervacation.

late summer

i couldn't resist

o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o

i miss her like crazy.
she is at a horseriding summercamp with her best friend since sunday.
we can't talk to them if they don't want to call us, it has never been that long that we haven't talked to each other.
i guess she is very happy.

+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +

i would have liked to post pictures of another dress we made for the current filmproject but i guess the director who is a friend prefers to keep it offline a little while...

women without men

a film i possibly could have worked for.
i then had an interview with shirin neshat, a beautiful and very determined artist.
we both haven't been sure about working together, me because i didn't wanted to abandon my then 5 year old girl for a long period and her i don't know. it was yes and no from both sides.
i often did regret my decision because it was such a chance for me as a costume designer but i still think it was right to step back. maybe i wouldn't have gotten the job anyway.

but it looks beautiful and i hope i will still have the chance to see it in cinema.

apparently i am in a real posting rage...

more saturday

a dress for two euros with a necklace she wanted to make. the ayrun, the childlike empress is wearing in this neverending story.

an exhibition we enjoyed but did'nt liked too much in it's not so curated details. what i liked was the idea of deconstructing a temporary exhibition place at the end of it's existence.

her knot i was aloud to make while cueing. why is it that everybody is obsessed with "topknots" these days. despite having studied fashion, sometimes i still don't understand how it really works that everybody is following a certain style, either it's the hair or the dress code, maybe i do it myself and am unaware of it...

on our way back home we found a dozen four leaved clovers, in the middle of the city.
i guess it made me win at bowling today, something we usually never do but enjoyed too.

she drew bees and honey, but i think they really look like bumblebees, one of my favourite english words.

it's raining but still feels like summer, i love rainy summer saturdays.

back from joining and picking up my family at a spanish island.
we spent 3 wonderful days together.

no summer without the mediterranean sea, thats our solution.

i wish i could do a lot more things without a purpose
